RAÍZ OAXACA MEZCAL is a family-own project that was born in 2017 in San Dionisio Ocotepec, with the intention of promoting and developing economic growth in our community through the mezcal, creating a source of income for mezcal families and thus avoiding the migration of its people to other communities or other countries.

Our master mezcalero is the 4th generation of the family producing artisanal mezcal, and currently shares his palenque (distillery) with his daughter, who is the 5th generation of mezcal masters in the family and the first woman.

RAÍZ OAXACA MEZCAL preserves the traditional production techniques of artisanal mezcal, supports small producers and promotes responsible consumption.
